Kasav is a Pakistani National: Pakistan
New Delhi, Jan 8: Pakistan's Adviser General, Muhmad Ali Durrani was sacked by Pakistan's Prime Minister, Yousuf Raza Gilani on Wednesday, Jan 7 night for admitting that Azam Amir Kasav, the lone terrorist captured in the 26/11 attacks is a Pakistani National.
With this, after months of denial, Pakistan on Wednesday, Jan 7 agreed to the fact that Kasav was a Pakistani. In the wake, India welcomed the development and has told Islamabad that it is now free to access its man.
This development implies that Pakistan is under pressure to supply information on Kasav, and cannot dismiss his confession. Pakistan will have to explain initial denial and probe possible involvement of state actors.
Further, Pakistan will also have to explain the origin of the nine other terrorists. Islamabad will have to clarify its original denial.
