Omar sworn-in as Jammu Kashmir CM
Jammu, Jan 5: Jammu Kashmir witnessed its youngest CM swear-in on Tuesday, Jan 5. National Conference leader Omar Abdullah took oath as the eight Chief Minister.
Governor N N Vohra administered the oath of office and secrecy to Abdullah and his council of ministers.
Tara Chand of Congress then took up the oath after Omar. There are reports of Tara Chand becoming the Deputy CM in the NC-Congress coalition Government.
With 28 seats, the NC emerged the largest party in the 87-member assembly after the seven-phase election in Nov-Dec. The Congress bagged 17 seats.
