Lahore, Jan 1. (ANI): Pakistan President Asif Ali Zardari has told his coalition party leaders that no Pakistani involved in Mumbai terror attacks, would be handed over to India,

Zardari assured Awami National Party chief Asfandyar Wali Khan and Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl chief Fazlur Rehman that anyone involved in the Mumbai attacks would be punished in Pakistan and not be extradited to India.

According to the Daily Times, the President took both his coalition partners into confidence over the security situation in Pakistan and shared his views on proposals to defuse tensions with India.

The paper quoted sources as saying earlier that both the leaders had expressed concern over rising pressure from India and the US over the extradition of Pakistan based elements responsible for the terror attacks on Mumbai.

The coalition partners of the PPP have assured Zardari of their support in dealing with India. (ANI)
