Goldfish stuns owner by surviving 13 hours out of water!
London, December 28 (ANI): A goldfish stunned its owner by surviving for 13 hours on the floor after apparently jumping out from its bowl.
Barbara Woodford, of Gloucester, revealed that she dreaded the worst after having been unable to find her pet at 7am in the morning, reports the Telegraph.
However, on her return from work around 8pm, she found her missing August birthday present on the floor behind a cupboard, still breathing.
She said: "I picked him up with a spatula and his mouth started moving. I put him back into the water and off he went.
"He was swimming fabulously. I couldn't believe it - it was a real Christmas miracle."
A spokesman for the Association of Midland Goldfish Keepers said: "Fish can survive quite a while out of the water, as long as their gills remain moist, allowing them to breathe.
"But this is the longest I've heard of a goldfish staying alive. It's quite astonishing." (ANI)
