Satyabrata Pal meets Pak Foreign Secretary
Islamabad, Dec 27: To defuse the growing tensions between India and Pakistan, Indian High Commissioner Satyabrata Pal on Friday, Dec 26 met Pakistan Foreign Secretary Salman Bashir in Islamabad in the aftermath of the Mumbai attacks.
The diplomats discussed the regional situation even as media reports said that Pakistan has moved thousands of additional troops towards the Indian border.
Further details of what transpired at the meeting were not immediately available.
Pal returned this week from New Delhi, where he attended a meeting of Indian diplomats abroad with External Affairs Minister Pranab Mukherjee.
