Railways to set up 100 budget hotels
New Delhi, Dec 26: With Public-Private Partnership (PPP), the Ministry of Railways will set up 100 budget hotels in 29 location across the country. The hotels will be built in the Railway surplus land for tourists near Railway Stations. The tender process has begun in these locations. Also world class railway stations will come up in11 of these locations.
More luxury trains will chug all over India. A pan India luxury tourist train will also be launched, to promote rail-based tourism and to cater to the travel needs of the high-end Indian and foreign tourists.
The popular Railneer is being packaged at Nangloi (Delhi) and Danapur (Bihar), will also be produced from two other plants. Palur in Tamilnadu and Ambernath in Maharashtra have been identified for the purpose. The quality of food provided in trains and railway stations will be improved.
