Lahore, Dec.23 (ANI): Pakistan Defence Minister Ahmed Mukhtar has said that nuclear weapons will not be used in case of a war between India and Pakistan.
Denying the use of nuclear armaments in case of war, Mukhtar said that a nuclear war would prove disastrous for both the countries.
"Indians would never want a war with Pakistan because it might become nuclear, which would be detrimental to both sides," the Daily Times quoted Mukhtar, as saying.
He ensured that the Pakistan Army has all the potential to defend itself if forced into a war.
Mukhtar also denied speculation about resignation of Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani.
"There is no pressure on Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani to resign," he said, adding "The premier would not be changed so long as the current government continues." (ANI)
