London, Dec 22 (ANI): Brit kids as young as 11 should be taught "no means no" in school sex education lessons, according to a new proposal.

Under the new proposal, Tory seeks to "make teaching of consent compulsory in the sex education curriculum".

The move is an attempt to cut the number of violent attacks against women in Britain.

As a part of party's new "Ending Violence Against Women" strategy children in secondary schools in key stage years three and four, aged 11 to 16, would effectively be taught when "no means no" in a sexual context.

The strategy document says that sex education in schools "should not be values-free".

"That means we must teach our young people about consent so that we can begin to tackle the root causes of sexual violence," the Telegraph quoted the document as saying.

The Tories are also proposing to work more closely with schools to introduce anti-bullying measures "as part of the culture of British education".

It would contain guidelines on specific violence against women for teachers, clearly explaining what they should do if they have suspicions or concerns about a child.

The Conservatives will also provide new rape crisis centres as part of a new strategy. (ANI)
