Jamaat-ud-Dawa not involved in Mumbai attacks: Pak interior Minister
Multan, Dec.18 (ANI): Minister of State for Interior in Pakistan Tasneem Ahmad Qureshi has said that Jamaat ud Dawa was not involved in the Mumbai attacks.
"We had arrested Dawa men after media reports but nothing has been found so far against them regarding Mumbai attacks," said Tasneem.
Taking a dig at India, he said that India has not provided any concrete evidence so far regarding the attacks.
He stressed that Pakistan would take action against those found involved in Mumbai attacks in accordance with the law of the land.
"Pakistan wants peace and stability in South Asia which was also the desire of martyred leader Benazir Bhutto," the News quoted Tasneem as saying.
"The government is pursuing the philosophy of the martyred leader and wants to avoid provocation," he said adding, "War couldn't be termed as solution to problems. But this desire for peace should not be taken as weakness." (ANI)
