New Delhi, Dec 17: Sheila Dikshit who led the Congress party to victory in Delhi Assembly polls for an unprecedented third time will be sworn-in as the Chief Minister on Wednesday, Dec 17. The swearing in ceremony will take place at the St. Xavier's School grounds near the Lieutenant Governor's residence. Lt Governor Tejendra Khanna will administer oath of secrecy and post to Dikshit and her six cabinet ministers.
Sheila refused to comment about her six Cabinet colleagues. But reports suggest that Kiran Walia, an MLA from Malviya Nagar is expected to be a new face in this Cabinet. The Health Minister in the current Cabinet, Yoganand Shastri is likely to miss out.
Congress has 43 seats in the 70-member House while Opposition BJP bagged 23 seats. Sheila Dikshit has created a history of sort by being the only women chief minister of the Congress in the recent times.
