Govt, RBI policies biased towards growth: HM
New Delhi, Dec 16: The policies of the government and the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) are biased towards growth, Home Minister P Chidambaram told parliament on Tuesday, Dec 16.
Chidambaram, who earlier had the Finance Ministry portfolio was answering a question on behalf of Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, who now holds the finance portfolio.
"Today, government policy and I believe, the RBI's policy, is biased in favour of growth, which is why the Prime Minister announced a stimulus package a few days ago," Chidambaram said, referring to the RBI.
