Realty stocks surge; Markets end on higher note
Mumbai, Dec 15: BSE"s Sensex closed at 9836.16, up 146.09 points or 1.51 per cent. The index touched an intra-day high of 9948.33 and a low of 9749.29. NSE"s Nifty ended at 2982.05, up 60.70 points or 2.08 per cent. The broader index touched an intra-day high of 3012.10 and a low of 2917.90.
BSE Midcap Index was up 3.70 per cent and BSE Smallcap Index moved 3.57 per cent higher.

Indian Stocks open higher
Indian markets on Monday, Dec 15 opened higher taking cues from the positive Asian markets. Sensex, the bench mark index of Bombay Stock Exchange climbed 178.13 points or 1.84 per cent points to 9,868.20 from Friday"s close. While National Stock Exchange"s benchmark Nifty tumbled 56.9 points or 1.95 per cent to 2978.25.
CNX Midcap 100 jumped 1.9 per cent to 3,569. The major gainers are Suzlon Energy, Wipro, Tata Communication, DLF, Unitech, Ambuja Cements, Cairn India, M&M, Hindalco, Grasim, Tata Motors, Reliance Industries and ONGC.
Asian markets are trading higher, after sharp fall on Friday, Dec 12. Nikkei, Kospi and Jakarta surged 5-5.5 pc. Hang Seng, Taiwan and Straits Times gained 2-3.3 pc. Shanghai rose 0.4 pc.
