According to police sources, the central office of the Dawa Jamia Alqadsia have been sealed in Lahore.

Besides, many activists have been nabbed in several cities. Police have arrested three persons in Lahore and sealed two centers of the Dawa Ayesha Siddiqua and the Mubarak Masjid.

Meanwhile, seventeen people were arrested during raids in Checha Watni, Vehari, Sahiwal, Bhawalpur, Bhawalnagar, Okara, Kasur, Sheikhupura, Gujranwala, Gujrat and other districts.

In Islamabad, two offices of JuD were also sealed. One was sealed in sector I-8 and another was sealed in sector G-6.

Police began closing the offices of JuD across the country after the UN Security Council on Thursday declared the organisation a terrorist group.

Earlier, The United Nations Security Council (UNSC) banned the Jamaat-ud-Dawa and also declared it a terrorist organization.

A committee of the UN Security Council placed financial sanctions on four members of the LeT, as well as the charitable organization that Indian and U.S. officials say serves as the Lashkar's financial front, according to the U.N. (ANI)
