Lahore, Dec.3 : Betting activities on international cricket matches have come to a halt after last week's terror attacks in Mumbai.
According to the Daily Times, bookmakers in Lahore have stopped betting and are not issuing rates of any cricket matches.
They said that the upcoming Indian Premier League (IPL) and the Indian Cricket League (ICL) season, in which around 20 matches were scheduled, has suffered due to the terrorist attacks.
Bookmakers have also cancelled bets for two one-day international matches and two test matches between India and England, while all bets for the Australia and New Zealand series have also been cancelled.
The IPL had scheduled more than 15 matches for the Champions Trophy, something all gamblers were looking forward to, but the cancellation of the series has left them bereft of the opportunity to bet on these matches.
