President Patil arrives in Mumbai, visits terror victims in hospital
Mumbai, Dec.1 : President Pratibha Devisingh Patil arrived here this evening from Indonesian capital Jakarta after completing a State visit to that country and to Vietnam.
On landing, the President went straight to the J.J. Hospital in the city to meet surviving victims of last week's terrorists' attacks. She spent about 25 minutes in the hospital talking to some of the affected patients and enquired after their welfare.
She also met the medical staff and praised them for their round the clock commendable job in treating victims of the terror attack.
The President will stay at Raj Bhavan tonight.
On Tuesday, she will visit the families of former Anti Terrorist Squad chief Hemant Karkare and encounter specialist Vijay Salaskar to offer her condolences for their recent bereavement.
She will also meet Maharashtra Chief Minister Vilasrao Deshmukh and other officials and enquire about the progress in the probe relating to the attacks.
The President will return to the national capital tomorrow at 3.30 p.m.
