Munde seeks resignation from Maharashtra CM and Dy CM
Jaipur, Nov 30 (UNI) BJP General Secretary and former Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Gopinath Munde today demanded Maharashtra Chief Minister Vilasrao Deshmukh and his Deputy R R Patil to step down in the wake of terror attacks in Mumbai which left over 195 people dead.
Talking to reporters here today Mr Munde said, ''Since Union Home Minister Shivraj Patil had already resigned owning responsibility for the tragic incidents in the country's financial capital, Mr Deshmukh and Mr Patil can not escape from their responsibility''.
Moreover, the CM and Dy CM made non-serious and irresponsible statements before the media in Mumbai last evening and dubbed the happenings as ''minor and routine incidents.'' ''It is unfortunate that they are dubbing as minor and routine, those incidents which have left 195 people dead and over 300 injured'', Munde said.
''They have no right to continue in the office anymore and therefore, they should step down immediately'', Mr Munde said.
