Mumbai attack is ''war and not just terrorism'': Ramdev
New Delhi, Nov 30 (UNI) Describing the terror strikes in Mumbai as ''war and not just terrorism'', Yoga Guru Ramdev has said India needs to respond to such heinous designs, deeds and plans of vested countries and people firmly and in decisive manner.
''It's war and not just terrorism. We as a country will have to respond to such heinous Designs, deeds and plans of vested countries and people firmly and in a decisive manner,'' Swami Ramdev said in a statement here.
While paying last tribute to martyr Gajendra Singh of NSG in New Delhi, he said, ''We are neither terrified nor ever will be. Every citizen now wants that they should not fall prey to such sinister and cowardly acts in the name of terrorism.'' He hailed the bravery of our forces and personnel for their exemplary fight to save the pride of the nation and paid tribute to every invaluable life lost during 59 hours of the horrifying experience.
The Swami announced that Patanjali Yogpeeth will give ''samman rashi'' (honour money) of Rs 5 lakh to each of families of martyred soldiers who laid their lives to uphold the tricolour of India.
Acharya Balkrishna, general secretary of Patanjali Yogpeeth, has written letter to DG, NSG ; DG, Maharashtra Police; GOC, Western Command of the Indian Army requesting them to forward names of martyrs of their forces to expedite remittanced of ''samman rashi''.
