Chandigarh, Nov 30 (UNI) Haryana Government has approved a policy for preferential allotment of residential plots in Haryana Urban Development Authority (HUDA) Urban Estates to the domicile of Haryana who has distinguished themselves in the field of Art, Culture, Social Service, Science and Technology, Judiciary, Defence or Sports.
While stating this here today, a spokesman of the HUDA said as per the approved policy the people of Haryana Domicile who would be considered as a ''Class of Persons'' for the purpose of preferential allotment of residential plots under the policy included Recipients of Bharat Ratna, Noble Prize, Ramon Magsaysay Award, Jnanpeeth Award and Shanti Swaroop Bhatnagar Award. The Chief justice of India, Chiefs of Defence Forces and Medal Winners in any event of sports at the Olympics were also included in the ''Class of Persons'' for the purpose of preferential allotment of residential plots under the policy.
He said all the people who fulfill the required eligibility conditions and are interested for allotment of a residential plot under the scheme might apply to the Chief Administrator, HUDA, Panchkula for allotment of a 1-Kanal, which was about 420 square meters, or 14 Marla, which was about 300 square meters plot, clearly mentioning in their application the size of plot and the name of the Urban Estate in which the plot was required.
He said the eligible applicants would be informed about further procedure and the earnest money to be deposited, depending upon the availability of required size in that Urban Estate.
