Minister ready for open debate with Sangharsh committee
Dharamshala, Nov 29 (UNI) Himachal Minister for Transport and Urban Development Kishen Kapoor today took on the challenge of the Central University Sangharsh Samiti for an open debate on the issue of a Central University.
In a statement here today, Mr Krishen Kapoor said in places identified by the Samiti for the project, even 50 kanals of land was not available while at least 500 acres of land was required for setting up of the University.
This kind of land was not available here as the hill town was already over-crowded, he said stressing that he was prepared to have an open debate on the issue and the date and place should be communicated to him.
He added that if the Samiti failed to fix up the place then he was prepared to join the open debate either at Dharamshala or at Dehra.
Alleging that people from Congress were part of the Samiti, he said they were trying to divide Kangra district over the issue with eye on the coming Lok Sabha polls.
