Ahmedabad, Nov 29 (UNI) 'Kuber', the fishing trawler suspected to have been hijacked by terrorists in the Arabian sea near Porbandar to be used to reach Mumbai, was detained by the Gujarat Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) early today.
The boat was found five nautical miles away from the Mumbai shores, with a body on board.
According to police sources, the boat could provide important clues in the terror plot.
When contacted, Gujarat ATS Chief Ajay Tomar refused to comment.
According to reports, the terrorists hijacked the fishing boat ''Kuber'' which was registered in Porbander, to give the slip to the Indian Navy and Coast Guard patrols, which had a considerable presence off Mumbai.
Before leaving the fishing boat, the terrorists beheaded its captain, identified as Amarsinh Sokanki. There was no word on the fate of the remaining crew of five.
