Governor visits families of Karkare, Salaskar
Mumbai, Nov 29 (UNI) Maharashtra Governor S C Jamir today paid his homage to late Hemant Karkare, who was the chief of Anti-Terrorism Squad, by laying a wreath on his body at his residence in Dadar here.
The Governor also consoled the family members of the martyr, who fell to death to the bullets of terrorists while protecting the city on the night of November 26, when the Metropolis was hit by the worst terror attacks.
He then visited the Goregaon residence of the encounter specialist late Vijay Salaskar and conveyed his condolences to his family members.
Earlier, yesterday the Governor visited the residence of late Assistant Sub-Inspector Nanasaheb Bhosale, Senior Police Inspector late Shashank Shinde and Police Sub-Inspector late Prakash More, who became martyrs while fighting with the terrorists, and consoled their family members.
