New Delhi, Nov 29 (UNI) An emergency meeting of the Congress Working Committee (CWC) began tonight to review the security situation against the backdrop of the Mumbai terror attacks.
The meeting, being held at 10 Janpath, the official residence of Congress president Sonia Gandhi, is being attended by Prime Minister Manmohan Singh.
Maharashtra Chief Minister Vilasrao Deshmukh is also attending the meeting.
The meeting is expected to pass a resolution condemning the terror attacks that left about 200 people killed and 300 others injured.
Though the meeting is essentially to discuss the terror attack in Mumbai, it will also review the poll prospects of the Congress Party in state assembly elections.
AICC sources said the meeting was likely to consider the demand for reducing the prices of fuel prices in the context of the crash in the prices of international crude oil prices.
