Talking to newspersons here after inauguration of the office by Kozhikode District Collector A Jayathilak, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer William S Pinckney said his firm also proposed to open one more office at Kottayam soon. The other Amway offices are at Kochi, Thrissur, Thiruvanthapuram, Kannur and Kollam. He said the continued growth recorded by the company in Kerala prompted it to open more offices in the state, which would emerge as one among the top three states for it in business terms.
The firm had contributed Rs 5.67 crore as sales tax to the state exchequer during 2007-2008, he said.
The company was expected to exceed its targeted Rs 1,000 crore turnover in this fiscal to register a 40 per cent grwoth over the net Rs 800 crore recorded during the fiscal ended in December 2007, he added.
