Villagers beat school staff, block traffic
Hisar, Nov 28 (UNI) The villagers today forced entry into Behbalpur Co-education Government Senior Secondary School and thrashed teachers and other employees, alleging sexual harrassment of their wards by some of the staff members.
They later blocked the Hisar-Chandigarh road alleging that the physical education teacher and one class four employee was forcing some girl students into physical relationship with them.
They also dismissed the inquiry held by the school principal, Pushpa Sharma, which had declared the accused ''innocent''.
The SDM appealed the angry villagers to lift the blockade and assured them action against the guilty.
The Tehsildar and District Education Officer would hold an open enquiry in the school tomorrow.
Meanwhile, Anil Kumar Rao, SP, has given an assurance that if any girl or parents report the matter to the police, the guilty would be brought to book.
