Lucknow, Nov 28 (UNI) The Uttar Pradesh police has asked all the hotels, particularly the five-stars, to step up security in the wake of the terrorist attacks in luxury hotels in Mumbai.
The state police also proposed to buy sophisicated MP5 sub-machine guns for the commandos and security personnel of the state to combat terrorism.
Talking to reporters here today, state Additional Director General of Police (law and order) Brij Lal said a meeting with the hoteliers of Agra was held yesterday and they were asked to enhance their security system.
'' All the hotels of the state have been directed to engage private security guards and install Close Circuit Television (CCTV) cameras as it was impossible for the state police to provide police cover in all the hotels,'' Mr Lal said.
