Bangalore, Nov 28 (UNI) Water tight security was provided to England's one-day cricket team which arrived in the city for a transit halt en route to London this evening.
The squad arrived here from Bhubaneshwar after ECB called off the ODI series with England trailing the seven-match series 0-5.
The remaining two matches were to be held at Guwahati and Delhi.
This comes in the wake of the terror attacks in Mumbai since Wednesday night.
Twenty-eight members, including support staff, who arrived at the international airport here, were taken to a hotel amid tight security. The team was expected to return to London tomorrow morning.
A posse of commandos of Karnataka Special Action Force, besides Airport security, was deployed at the airport on the team's arrival.
The area was cordoned off and the team was taken under high-security escort to a five-star hotel where they would stay before boarding the morning flight to London.
