Tata group stocks fell after Taj besiege

Mumbai, Nov 28 (UNI) The shares of Tata Group of companies tumbled today, following the heinous terrorist attack on the historic Taj Mahal Hotel, owned by the business conglomerate.

Except for Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), all other Tata Group companies' shares were weak. At noon session, Tata Motors slipped by 3.21 per cent, Tata Steel fell 2.8 per cent, Tata Power by 0.06 per cent, Tata Chemicals by 0.61 per cent and Tata Teleservices by 0.51 per cent, a leading analyst said.

TCS gained four per cent on short covering due to F &O expiry, postponed following the terror attack.
