Ranchi, Nov 28: Six of a family, supposed to celebrate Bakri Id at their sister's place in Koderma district of Jharkhand, were killed during the shootout at CST station in Mumbai on November 26, family sources said on Friday, Nov 28.
Abbas Ansari(60), wife Akeela Khatun(55) and four other relatives fell victim to indiscriminate firing by the terrorists that occurred at about 2130 hours on Wednesday.
The six victims were scheduled to reach Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus station to catch the Mumbai Express that left at 2120 hours, a report from Koderma said, adding they arrived late and missed the train.
Abbas's sister Zareena Khatun, who stays at Chechai village and was waiting eagerly to receive her brother and rest of the relatives, got the sad news only yesterday.
The rest of the victims were identified as Arif Ansari (35), Iliyas (40) - both son-in-laws, Sarfaraj (19) and Murtaza (17) - nephews.
The victims originally belonged to Mananpur under Nawadih in Bihar and were settled at Mumbai.
