Jodhpur, Nov 28 (UNI) External Affairs Minister Pranab Mukherjee today said the Vasundhara Raje government in Rajasthan ''did not even properly utilise the funds'' given by the Centre.
Talking to reporters here, Mr Mukherjee said the BJP government in the state had completely failed on the development front during the past five years and ''could not even utilise the funds'' under the Centrally-sponsored schemes.
He alleged that the state government tried to take credit for some Centrally-sponsored schemes by changing their nomenclature.
Mr Mukherjee said the democratic system in the state had been completely damaged by ther BJP government, while crime and corruption had been on the rise during the past five years.
There was a sense of insecurity among the common people in the state and the state government was responsible for this state of affairs, he added.
