Oz student sets Guinness world record for fastest completion of sudoku puzzle
Sydney, Nov 28 : An 11-year-old Aussie student has smashed the Guinness world record by competing the sudoku puzzle in one minute and 38 seconds.
Lucus Yeo, from Castle Hill Public School, has beaten the world record of a 27-year-old American with a PhD in chemistry, who completed it in two minutes and 8 seconds.
It took 10 days for him to complete his first puzzle several years ago.
"So from then on I was just trying to beat 10 days, and then it became a few minutes. Now here I am," Sydney Morning Herald quoted Yeo as saying.
Bryan Mullan, principal of Castle Hill Public School, said that his talent "came out of the blue".
"In terms of his personality, he comes across as quite disorganised in some ways," said Mullan.
"His desk's always all over the place. He doesn't come across as an organised person," he added.
