Operation over at Trident, still on at Taj, Nariman House
Mumbai, Nov 28 (UNI) Security forces have successfully flushed out terrorists from the Oberoi Trident Hotel, even though some of the militants are still holed up at the Taj Mahal Hotel and Nariman House, city police commissioner Hassan Gafoor said today.
Speaking to mediapersons, Mr Gafoor said the Army has completed its operation and National Security Guard (NSG) commandos are undertaking the search operation. All the hostages have been rescued and two terrorists were killed in exchange of fire, he added.
The commissioner informed that cross firing with one of the terrorists was still on at the Taj, while two or three terrorists were said to be hiding at Nariman House.
Mr Gafoor said the commandos have so far gunned downed nine terrorists and apprehended one of them. The crime branch is investigating the case and they are getting good leads from the arrested terrorist, he added.
