Mumbai, Nov 28: The NSG has confirmed that six hostages were gunned down by terrorists at Hotel Trident. As the encounter reaches its final stages, the terrorists are getting desperate. They are neither ready for negotiations nor do they want to release hostages.
The National Security Guard (NSG) and the Marine Commandos early on Friday, Nov 28 rescued 40 guests from The Trident Hotel (formerly known as Oberoi), 36 hours after they were taken hostage by terrorists believed to be affiliated to Lashkar-e-Toiba (LeT). Apart from one terrorist killed, the gunbattle has claimed two lives of an army personnel, Major Sandeep UnniKrishnan at the Trident Hotel and a NSG commando, Hawaldar Chander at Nariman House.
