M.M.Hills records heavy rainfall of 8 cm

Bangalore, Nov 28 (UNI) Following is a Summary of observations recorded by the weather office here at 0830 hrs today.

Rainfall occurred at many places over South Interior Karnataka and at isolated places over Coastal Karnataka and North Interior Karnataka.

M.M.Hills recorded heavy rainfall of 8 cms.

Other chief rainfall amounts: Bangarpet 4; Chintamani, Mulbagal, Anekal, Kunigal 3 each; Bandipura, Chamarajanagar, Sidlaghatta, Malur, Bangalore City, Bangalore HAL Airport 2 each: N.R.Pura, Nanjangud, T.Narsipura, K.R.Pet, K.R.Sagara, Srirangapatna, Basaralu, Gowribidnur, Thondebhavi, Hessarghatta, Hoskote, Doddaballapura, Nelamanagala, Koratagere 1 each.

Temperatures : Minimum temperatures appreciably rose at most places being markedly at many places over North Interior Karnataka and rose at many places over Coastal Karnataka and changed little over the South Interior Karnataka. They were above normal at most places over the state, appreciably at many places over North Interior Karnataka and at a few places over Coastal Karnataka. Chamarajanagar recorded the lowest minimum temperature of 18.0 deg. Celsius over the State.

Forecast valid until Sunday morning: Rain / thundershowers likely to occur at most places over South Interior Karnataka and at many places over Coastal Karnataka and North Interior Karnataka.

Farmers Weather Bulletin: Light to moderate rain likely to occur at most places over all the districts of South Interior Karnataka and at many places over all the districts of Coastal Karnataka and North Interior Karnataka.

Outlook for subsequent two days: Decrease in rainfall is expected over the state.

Heavy rainfall Warning : Heavy to very heavy rain likely to occur at isolated places over South Interior Karnataka during next 24 hours.

Local forecast: Cloudy sky. Intermittent rain - heavy at times.
