Mahindra Samriddhi Centres at the service of farmers

Chandigarh, Nov 28 (UNI) On its journey towards farm tech prosperity, Mahindra and Mahindra Farm Equipment Sector (FES) will be transforming its dealers into full fledged Samriddhi Centres across the country and as on date 10 dealers are offering these value added services.

On display at Agro Tech-2008 which began here today is a Samriddhi kiosk which showcases soil testing facility which is one of many services offered through Samriddhi centres.

A unique initiative in the tractor industry, Mahindra Samriddhi Centres truly represents Mahindra's customer-centric business approach that leverages innovative solutions to address customer requirements, Mr Gautam Nagwekar, Chief Operating Officer, Mahindra Farm Equipment Sector said at the Agro Tech fair.

The market leader in Indian tractor industry from the past 25 years, the company has displayed the entire product range of products and services at the fair which commenced here.

Mahindra FES which is the only company in the world to be awarded with the Deming Application Prize and Japan Quality Medal has showcased its entire tractor range from 15 HP to 75 HP. On display are the specialised crop specific implements like Rice Transplanter and for sugarcane - Sugar cane thumper and Sickle Sword.

''We are committed to offer farming solutions to the bottom end of the pyramid farmers; Yuvraj 215 is one such offering from Mahindra Tractors'', Mr Nagwekar said while talking to mediapersons.

FES also showcases the Swaraj brand of tractors. Mahindra Tractors along with the Swaraj brand today enjoys a market share of almost 40 per cent in the Indian market.

Commenting on the occasion Mr Anil Mohan Sawhney, Deputy Managing Director of Punjab Tractors Limited, said, '' On display from Swaraj is its new 735 XM at the exhibition which shows our commitment towards Swaraj brand and our focus on extending our product line.'' Speaking on the occasion Mr Sanjeev Goyle, Senior Vice President, Marketing, Mahindra Farm Equipment Sector said, Mahindra, in its constant endeavour to provide innovative technology and customer centric solutions had launched its all new DLX range of tractors-- Sarpanch 575 DLX and Sarpanch 295 DI DLX, which would provide the progressive farmers with more power, stylish looks and hassle free farming operations.

M &M had recently acquired Yancheng Tractors in China, which is the third largest tractor brand in China and has products ranging from 16 HP to 125 HP. This is the second facility which had been acquired by FES in China. FES already has operations in USA and Australia.
