BJS President robbed of Rs. 2.5 lakh
Rajgarh, MP, Nov 28 (UNI) Unidentified men today looted more than Rs 2.5 lakh from Madhya Pradesh Bharatiya JanShakti (BJS) President Ashok Tripathi at Biora in this district, police said today.
Mr Tripathi and BJS worker Raghuveer Singh had gone to a newspaper's office for taking account of election-related expenses when seven-eight people on motorcycles threatened them leading to scuffle between two sides.
In the meantime, the culprits took the money kept on table and fled.
Mr Tripathi alleged that Dilbar Yadav and his accomplice were threatening them in connection with a case registered against Biora candidate and former minister Badrilal Yadav.
A complaint was lodged by Mr Tripathi and Mr Singh following which a dacoity case registered.
Superintendent of Police D K Arya said the matter was being investigated.
A BJS vehicle was stoned at BJP candidate Badrilal Yadav's native Barkheda village yesterday. Mr Tripathi's nephew Prashant Tripathi had lodged a complaint againt Mr Yadav, his nephew Ramgopal Yadav and four other people.
