APInvest with NEDCAP organises 'Industry Interface Meet'
Hyderabad, Nov 28 (UNI) An interactive 'Industry Interface Meet' of senior officials of Union and Andhra Pradesh Governments with the representatives of renewable energy industry was organised by APInvest, a nodal investment promotion agency of the State Government with Non Conventional Energy Development Corporation of Andhra Pradesh (NEDCAP).
Speaking on the occasion, Union New and Rewable Energy Secretary Deepak Gupta today underscored the need for the development of renewable industry as an alternative to the conventional power generation in India.
C S Rao, Advisor IT&CEO, APInvest highlighted the growing need of renewable energy as an answer to the needs of power demand, especially to address power requirement of rural India.
Mr Rao gave a brief introduction of various solar and wind power companies setting up their manufacturing facilities in the State and briefed the general perspective of expectations of the renewable industry.
Senior management representatives of Titan Energy Systems Limited, Solar Semiconductor Ltd, Suzlon Group, Enercon, Regen Powertech and NCS Renewable Energies Ltd, were among other organisations, who participated in the meeting.
Many representatives sought buy-back tariff rate both at the Central and State Government level. They urged to facilitate the process for setting up their units.
They also urged the Government to devise a scheme on solar power sector for a longer period than the existing two-decades time-frame.
