New Delhi, Nov 28 (UNI) Stepping up vigil on election eve, in one of the largest ever seizures, police have seized nearly 13,000 bottles of liqour allegedly meant for distribution during polls, and arrested three people.
In a raid conducted at Ambika Enclave in South-West Delhi police seized 12,876 bottles of illicit liqour from a plot, according to the police.
Three persons were arrested from there who said that the liqour was meant for sale only in Haryana.
In the second incident, the South-East district police seized nearly 205 cartons of liqour, also meant for distribution during tomorrow's Assembly elections, from four police station areas.
The liqour was meant for distribution to various 'marked segments' before and during election process to influence voters, police added.
