Vice President condemns Mumbai terror attack
New Delhi, Nov 27 (UNI) Vice President Mohammad Hamid Ansari today condemned the terrorist attacks that occurred overnight in various areas of Mumbai.
In a message, Mr Ansari expressed deep shock at ''the scale of attacks in the heart of Mumbai city that have caused numerous fatalities and casualties among innocent people.'' He said such terrorist acts are aimed at destabilising the nation and urged all citizens to unite in this critical hour.
Mr Ansari also paid homage to the security officials who have laid down their life in the line of duty and expressed condolences to the families of those killed and injured in the attacks.
The Vice President, who is on a visit to Arunachal Pradesh, also reitered the resolve of the Indian people to fight terrorism.
