UAE condemns Mumbai attacks, expresses solidarity with India
New Delhi, Nov 27 (UNI) The United Arab Emirates (UAE) today strongly condemned the terror attacks on Mumbai last night, and expressed solidarity with India in confronting such criminal acts.
''The UAE condemns this brutal and appalling crime and affirms its complete solidarity with the Government of India in confronting these criminal acts,'' UAE Foreign Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan said in a statement.
He also offered his sympathies to the families of those killed and wished speedy recovery to the injured.
According to a Ministry source, the UAE Consulate General in Mumbai had set up a communication centre to maintain round-the-clock contact with the UAE citizens there.
''The Consulate will pursue contact with the UAE citizens in Mumbai and update the Foreign Ministry with any new developments,'' he said.
''There is, however, no information whether any UAE citizen has been injured in the attacks,'' he added.
