Tripura CPI(M) demands strengthening of security
Agartala, Nov 27 (UNI) The CPI(M)'s Tripura unit today demanded strengthening of internal security arrangements of the country in the wake of a series of terrorist attacks in several places of Mumbai since last night.
In a statement here, the party said imperialist and communal forces had been trying to infringe upon democracy and sovereignty of the country and it needed to be controlled with an iron hand.
The party had also urged all the political parties to join hands against terrorism and called upon the government to ensure safe release of the hostages.
Meanwhile, the Left parties had announced to organise agitation on December two against price hike of essentials and petroleum products.
