Terror strike smacks failure of intelligence agency:CPI(ML)
Patna, Nov 27 (UNI) The CPI(ML) today condemned the terrorist strike in Mumbai and said the incident had exposed the ''failure'' of Central intelligence agency.
In a release here, the general secretary of CPI(ML) Deepankar Bhattacharya said last night's terror strike in Mumbai's most prominent locations, including luxury hotels and busy railway station, had already claimed more than 100 lives.
'' Those killed in the terror strikes include as many as 16 policemen, including ATS chief Hemant Karkare, who was heading the probe into Malegaon blasts and several foreign citizens. We strongly condemn the attacks and offer deep condolences to the bereaved families. We hope the hostages will be rescued without any further loss, '' he added.
'' The Mumbai attacks have exposed huge chinks in the armour of the intelligence and security agencies of the government, '' Mr Bhattacharya maintanied.
'' The failure of the government to provide security even in such select high security high-profile locations indicates serious crisis in internal security. The entire lapse needs to be probed most thoroughly, and the Central government must immediately set up a high level judicial inquiry, headed by a sitting Supreme Court judge, '' the CPI(ML) leader stated.
