Security intensified in IT Capital: Commissioner
Bangalore, Nov 27(UNI) Security has been beefedup in country's IT Capital Bangalore following terrorists attack in Mumbai where over 100 people were killed and another 275 injured, City Police Commissioner Shankar Bidari said today.
Speaking to newsperson here after attending a high level meeting convened by Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa here, he said that '24-hour vigil' will be maintained in the city.
Mr Bidari said that vital installations in the city will be provided additional security cover while all the entry and exit points were being watched carefully looking for anti-social and anti-national elements.
He said that city police are in constant touch with their Mumbai counterparts.
Appealing to the private entrepreneurs also to enhance their private security arrangements, Mr Bidari said that major IT, BT and other Corporate companies operating in the city have also been advised on the security issues, he said.
