Mumbai Terror:Sarkozy writes to PM to express solidarity
New Delhi, Nov 27 (UNI) French President Nicholas Sarkozy, in a letter to Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, today condemned the terror attacks on Mumbai and expressed and his country's solidarity with India in fighting the menace.
''More than ever before, France remains at India's side in the fight against the scourge of terrorism and is willing to further intensify the existing cooperation between our two countries in this area,'' Mr Sarkozy said in the letter.
''I most strongly condemn the blind violence, which has been perpetrated in your country through this series of cowardly and abominable terrorist attacks,'' the letter said.
The French President said he would also like to convey his deepest condolences to the families of all the innocent victims of ''these despicable attacks'' and express his sympathy and support to the injured for a speedy recovery.
