Hooda expresses grief over pilot's death in chopper crash
Chandigarh, Nov 27 (UNI) Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda today expressed shock and grief over the death of Flying Captain Sachin Bhatia in a chopper crash in Bareilly in Uttar Pradesh yesterday.
The Chief Minister conveyed his heartfelt sympathies to the members of the bereaved family and prayed that the departed soul rest in peace.
The mortal remains of Flying Captain Sachin Bhatia were brought to his native city Sirsa today where the last rites would be performed tomorrow morning with full state honour.
The aircraft carrying his mortal remains reached Sirsa airport this evening, where apart from the officers of District Administration and defence services, pilot Bhatia's wife Nitika, father Ashok Bhatia and father-in-law O.P. Madan and other close relatives were also present.
A 21-member defence contingent reversed arms to present guard of honour and senior civil and defence officers laid wreath on the body. of the deceased pilot.
The officers carried the mortal remains of Sachin Bhatia to his residence in Gobindnagar locality.
