Ayodhya put under high alert after Mumbai terror attacks
Ayodhya, Nov 27 (UNI) Security forces in this highly sensitive religious city have been placed on an alert, following the ghastly terror strikes and existing state of siege at five-star hotels in Mumbai.
Superintendent of Police (city) Gyaneshwar Tiwari said a tight security net has been laid at the disputed Sri Ram Janmabhoomi complex to avoid any impact of the Mumbai attacks here.
A posse of securitymen have been deployed in and around the complex and any entry in the city made permissible only after thorough checking.
A close watch was also being kept at the renowned Hanumangari, Nageshwarnath and Kanakbhawan temples.
A similar alert has been sounded in Faizabad, where Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) S K M Rathore and District Magistrate Anil Garg were camping.
Besides, security has been multiplied at public places viz bus stations, railway stations, hotels and dharamshalas.
