Alert sounded in Bihar following Mumbai attacks
Patna, Nov 27 (UNI) Following last night's terrorist attacks in Mumbai, the Bihar government today sounded an alert all over the state to prevent any untoward incident.
The administration made elaborate security arrangements and special directives were issued to the district administrations and security personnel who had been asked to remain alert round the clock.
ADG, Law and Order (Headquarters), Anil Sinha said here additional deployment had been made at all vital installations.
Special security personnel were deployed at public places, including hotels, railway stations, market areas and other places.
In view of the vulnerability of the Indo-Nepal international border all along Bihar, extra vigil was being matinained there, he said, adding patrolling had been stepped up on borders of the state, along with Jharkhand and Uttar Pradesh. The vehicles passing through these entry points at the borders were being frisked before their entry into the state's territory.
Besides, sensitive areas were under extra surveillance, Mr Sinha informed, adding security in the VIP areas had been enhanced and the police administration was constantly reviewing the situation in the state.
