Stallions eyeing Champions League glory

By Staff

Lahore, Nov 26 (UNI) His team may have lost a few key players to the rebel Indian Cricket League (ICL), but Sialkot Stallions captain Shoaib Malik is still hoping to go for the title when the inaugural Champions League T20 gets underway next month.

''We have trained very hard for the Champions League and hopefully the team will do well in India,'' Malik said.

Malik feels playing the first two games in Bangalore will give his team an added benefit.

''The conditions in Bangalore are going to suit us,'' he added.

The Pakistan skipper also said he will try to convince Indian cricketers to visit the country for the Test series early next year during his stay in India.

''The series against India is very important for us and I will try my best to convince the Indian players that they will be completely safe in Pakistan,'' he said.
