New Delhi, Nov 26 (UNI) The VHP today said the government's plot to frame army personnel and Hindus under the pretext of investigating Malegaon blasts was a reprehensible act and would be fought tooth and nail.
Addressing a large gathering of nation's top saints, who gathered at the historic Jantar Mantar here under the 'Dharm Raksha Manch', to protest the 'defaming of Hindus', VHP general secretary (Intl) Pravin Togadia said this despicable act of the Central and Maharashtra government was not just humiliating the Hindu masses but also insulting it.
''All this framing up of Hindus has been done to divert the attention of people from the 'jehadi terrorist forces' whose activities had put the government in a tight spot.'' Calling for immediate release of all those who have been wrongly implicated in the Malegaon blasts case, the 'sants' said the torture of 'sadhvi' Thakur was not tolerable and the 'Manch' would undertake a nation-wide protest programme against this insult.
Earlier, hundreds of 'sants' and officials of the VHP, Bajrang Dal and various Hindu organisations marched from the Connaught Place Hanuman Mandir to the 'protest site', at Jantar Mantar where a 'sabha' was held and anti-government slogans raised.
