Tirupati, Nov 26: The deity goddess Sri Padmavathi consort of Lord Venkateswara was taken in a procession on the second day of the nine days annual Kartheeka Brahmotsavam at Tiruchnoor temple here.
The goddess adorned with jewels atopped on a bedecked peddasesha vahanam, was taken around the four mada streets of the temple, witnessed by a large number of devotees, offering prayer and harathi to the goddess.
Chakka Bhajana, Kolattam and Annamacharaya Keerthanas were performed by the devotees before the procession of the goddess Vahanam.
Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) executive officer K V Ramanachary, joint executive officer V Seshadhri, temple deputy executive officer Chengalrayulu and other officials also participated in the procession.
The idol of the goddess will be placed on the golden Hamsa Vahanam which was recently donated by the Tirupati MLA Dr Venkataraman, after the Unjal Seva inside the temple premises and will be taken around the four mada streets in the evening.
