Martha Stewart still friends with prison pals
London, Nov 26 : Media mogul Martha Stewart has revealed that during her 2004 stint in prison she made some "interesting" friends in jail.
Stewart was forced to spend time at the Alderson, West Virginia federal prison for five months in October 2004 after being convicted of lying to federal agents investigating insider trading.
And, during her time at the prison, Stewart admits that she formed a group of pals who she is still in touch with, more than three years after her release in March 2005.
"Some of the women who became my friends while I was incarcerated have visited with me," the Daily Express quoted her, as telling Fortune magazine.
"There are some very interesting women there of great value to society, and I keep in contact with them. We have some broken systems in this country - one is the prison system," she added.
